Weekend Schedule
Western Cup is Apollo's annual multi-sport tournament. In 2010 we will celebrated the 28th anniversary of Western Cup - the longest running annual LGBT multi-sport tournament in North America. Apollo was formed in 1981 after a small group of individuals came together with the idea to create an athletic social group for LGBT people in the Calgary area. During that first year an invitation was extended to a similar group of people in Edmonton to play volleyball in Calgary and the first Western Cup was born. And now each year, we attract over 500 athletes to participate and socialize during Easter weekend – come out and join the fun!
We are very exicted to welcome Dodgeball and the Canadian Gay National Curling Championships to our list of sports for the 28th anniversary.
